01 / THE CHALLENGE

The images mattered.
The wait didn’t.

Ringler Designs relies on imagery to show the detail and personality of its handmade work. But the original JPEG images were so heavy that the website struggled to load, leaving visitors waiting to see it.

The goal was to keep the visual experience while removing the weight that made the site difficult to use.

We reformatted the JPEG images as WebP files, reducing the amount of image data visitors needed to download while preserving the visual presentation.

We reduced the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript used by the website, trimming unnecessary page weight and browser work.

Faster content delivery.

We used a content delivery network (CDN) to help deliver website assets efficiently and improve loading for visitors.

After the project, the website also moved from second to first in Google results for a search of the owner’s name.
